Are all Cotton & Flax home goods designed and manufactured in California?
Yes! Every tea towel, coaster, cloth napkin, trivet, and pillow is made in California, with help from a small team of local sewing experts and our go-to screenprinter, who prints each modern home decor piece in her San Diego Studio.
Who's in charge here?
Erin Dollar is the founder and designer behind Cotton & Flax. She creates the minimal, modern patterns you see on each product (and answers every customer service email, too!)
How do I care for my purchase?
Our linen throw pillows, tea towels, napkins are machine washable. Gentle cycle wash or hand-washing will help extend the life of printed patterns. Felt coasters and trivets may be hand washed as necessary.
What is a tea towel?
Whether you call it a dish towel, kitchen towel, or tea towel, it can serve the same function. You can use our lightweight linen tea towels to dry dishes, line a bread basket, or hang it on the front of your stove to add style to your modern kitchen.
What is a trivet?
Trivets are a great landing spot for hot or cold dishes on your dining room table. They act as a large coaster, protecting your furniture from scratches or damage. We even wrote a blog post about what trivets are used for.
Do you sell patterned fabric?

When will my order arrive?
Orders ship between 1-3 business days of the order date.
As soon as your order has been mailed, you'll receive a shipment confirmation email containing a tracking link. Transit time averages 2-7 days for US destinations. International orders may take up to 4 weeks to be delivered.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Items in unused condition may be returned for a refund or exchange within 10 days of receipt. If you want to return a product or you received a damaged product, please contact us to start the return process.
Will I pay sales tax?
We are required to collect sales tax on orders shipping to destinations in California.

We accept all major credit cards, or you may pay using PayPal.
